Beethoven House in 31, Landstrasser Hauptstrasse - 3rd District - Landstraße

Ludwig van Beethoven (1770 - 1827) moved to Vienna in 1792.

From October 1817 to 1819 Beethoven lived in 31, Landstrasser Hauptstrasse, in immediate vicinity to his nephew Karl, who attended a reformatory in Reisnerstrasse. The Vienna City Library holds some of the notes Beethoven left for his factotum, Anton Schindler.
