Join us slopeside on Feuerkogel Mountain on March 04, 2008!
ENTER THE NOSTALGIA SKI RACE

Nostalgia Ski Demo Teams from Ebensee and Traisen honor the spirit of the past by performing skiing techniques long gone by to astonish the audience. The show ranges graceful telemark action over Arlberg technique to the wedeling style inspired by Prof. Kruckenhauser in the 1950ies,...

For little ones, there's a cool activity program scheduled. Activities include a nostalgia team race and a raffle with great prizes to win. Plus these amazing exploits are enhanced with music selections and narration on the ORF Stage and in the Mountain Igloo.

And of course, winter sports enthusiasts can demonstrate their skiing skills with historic and not-so-serious winter sports equipment such as staves. Entries for the Nostalgia Ski Race are accepted Mondays to Friday until February 22, 2008, please call 07612-66014-43).
Requirements: old, original ski gear and equipment

At the turn of the century, Feuerkogel saw Europe's first ski lift: Six to eight skiers clung to a long pole and were pulled up the hill. On race day, this historic lift will be put up again on scenic Feuerkogel Plateau. Look back at the history of Alpine skiing and join us for a day of pure, unalloyed fun!
