Pilgrimage

Many ancient pilgrim routes in the Southern Waldviertel region lead you to a special place: the pilgrimage church Maria Taferl.

skip Strong yellow sign posts marking the pilgrim routes will guide your way in the entire hiking region of the Southern Waldviertel. The re-edited hiking map "Das südliche Waldviertel" has already integrated all those routes with a proper symbol. An ancient, steep path leads up from the Danube valley, from Krummnussbaum.

Many regional events featuring the pilgrimage theme take place, too.
