Weyer-Markt, the golden market town, is wonderfully embedded in the scenic Ennstal Valley!
Weyer, founded in the 12th century, has become one of the region´s most important trading towns due to its water and wood resources, looking back on a long tradition in iron processing. Among the town´s highlights ranks the outstanding market square in Baroque style. From the 14th century onwards Weyer has been Austria´s earliest center of iron industry. A great many of buildings and mansions steeped in history await you in Weyer and its picturesque surroundings, for example the Egererschloß Castle or the Innerberger Stadl Museum invite you to take a look back in time.
