Scenic Montafon region

Cinema lives from its pictures. A good director is somebody who will find perfect pictures and great locations for the big screen.

So it is not surprising that one of Germany's best directors, Joseph Vilsmaier, has chosen the Montafon region for his most popular films. Here Joseph Vilsmaier found an unspoiled natural landscape for "Schlafes Bruder" and the rustic "Marlene". His new film "Bergkristall was shot in 2003.
