"R8" Grossglockner-Mölltal cycle trail

If you feel like getting to know the Hohe Tauern National Park and working out at the same time, the Grossglockner-Mölltal cycle trail offers perfect conditions for people of all ages and ambitions.

The trail takes you along the River Möll, past lush meadows and woods, as well as whole variety of pubs and restaurants.

Trail description:
Starting in Lurnfeld/Möllbrücke, this trail is the extension of the Drau cycle trail and continues to the Mühldorfer cycle trail.
Passing Danielsberg and Falkenstein castle, the Reisseck section of the trail leads from Kolbnitz to Obervellach (along the River Möll). From there, it takes you to Flattach and the Gössnitz reservoir and on to Stall and Winklern.

From Winklern, you can proceed to the quite demanding Grossglockner Hochalpenstrasse mountain road, which is accessible from Grosskirchheim and Heiligenblut.
