Today the museum contains a selecttion of paintings by the gallerist Hans Jäger. The main focus is on Alpine landscape paintings, especially from the Ötztal Alps. One exhibition is dedicated to the Sautens-born sculptor Matthias Bernhard Braun.

Forchet Nature Trail near Sautens
About 3,000 years ago vast amounts of stone broke away from the Tschirgant and forced their way to the frozen valley grounds through the Inntal valley up to Oetz. Sketches throughout the pine tree forest or a qualified guide show you why and how such a unique incident happens. You explore how pioneering flowers and animals have made the stony habitat homely, visit old kilns where limestones were burnt in former days and even see human living caves dating back to prehistoric times.
