Skigebiet Sölden

SÖLDEN

Extensive snowsure intermediate slopes with throbbing nightlife.

Sölden's slopes suit adventurous intermediates best.
The skiing in Sölden is split into three main areas: the Gaislachkogl area; the Giggijoch area; and the glaciers. The BIG3 Rallye is a way to get around all the areas in one day (the BIG3 refers to the three peaks of over 3000 metres that it is possible to visit along the way).

+ Excellent snow reliability, with access to two glaciers
+ Fairly extensive network of slopes suited to adventurous intermediates
+ Continually improving lift system

Glacier Skiing

With the opening of the Golden Gate to the Glacier (a modern four-lift system), Solden went from a middle size skiing resort to a large, all-year glacial resort. This connected Solden with the two glaciers of Rettenbach and Tiefenbach.
10 state-of-the-art ski lifts and gondolas with an average capacity of 20.000 persons per hour and 38 km of immaculate ski runs ensure perfect skiing holidays, especially in autumn and early winter. As Tiefenbach Glacier is characterized by its gently rolling and broad slopes, it makes a truly unique haven for beginners or all those who perfer skiing at a more leiseurely place.
Rettenbach Glacier boasts challenging terrain for advanced skiers.
