The area is well known for the Styrian wine routes and the Riegersburg - both located mainly on extincted volcanoes. More than 40 of them shape the appearance of the landscape in this part of the country. Smooth hills as far as the eye is able to sneak a peek. A wide range of different hiking routes connects the individual volcanoes and makes it a perfect area for culturally and culinary rich hiking holiday.
