Lake Altausseer See

Altausseer See nestles amid the Salzkammergut's spectacular mountains and makes for a great day out.

Located at 712 meters above sea levels, the 214-ha size lake is situated away from the traffic and therefore not easily accessible by car. Altauseerlake has a 6-kilometer long bathing beach and a water temperature of around 25 Celsius in summer. Admission to the lake is free. Facilities include a beach volleyball field, clay tennis courts and rental boats. You can take the MS Erzherzog Johann pleasure cruiser to get to Seewiese-Altaussee.
