Lake Seewaldsee

Lake Seewaldsee is an idyllic bathing lake located amidst a nature reserve

The Seewaldsee mountain lake is idyllically located in the village of Fontanella in the Großes Walsertal Biosphere Reserve at an altitude of 1,100 above sea level. It is accessible by a one-hour walk from the car park next to the road leading to Faschina or with a little leisure train. As only little water is flowing into the lake, it distinguishes itself through extraordinarily high water temperatures despite being located in the mountains. Thus, it is a true paradise for keen swimmers! Nestled in a vale amidst blooming meadows and woods, the lake is perfectly suited for nature lovers who want to indulge in the stunning scenery. The lake and the surrounding area are subject to nature protection regulations.
