The brewery hotel offers natural, organic, unfiltered home-made beer, brewed in our proper little inhouse brewery. In addition, the following beer specialities are offered: wheat beer from January to April, elder beer in May and June, summer beer in July and August, "Dirndl" beer in September and October, and finally the "Weihnachtsbock" beer in November and December. Our inhouse brewery is located in the brewing cellar vaults. Of course, it is open for visitors interested in learning more about the art of brewing and sampling our natural, organic home-made beer. The brewery hotel Weitra has succeeded in making itself a name among beer friends, renowned for its extensive choice and beer brewing competence. This fact was confirmed by "beer pope" Conrad Seidl after having been awarded "four pints" several times in a row. This excellent award has only been given to nine other inns in all of Lower Austria.

We see ourselves as a top hotel featuring excellent beer culture and a proper tradition of brewing beer set in the most traditional brewery town of Austria - an exciting combination embracing tradition, innovation and joie de vivre. The cornerstone of our cuisine is marked by "beery" speciailities.
This translates into a proper section of meals in our menu. All our meals are prepared in a traditional way, still allowing for occasional hints of innovation. We take most of our kitchen ingredients from the Ecological Cycle Moorbad Harbach, contributing to a healthy, organic environment. The "Xundheitswelt" has thought up a concept that ensures that even the most sceptical people are convinced to drop their carrot-picking in favour of a more healthy, enjoyable way of cooking. The six members of the "Xundheitswelt" world of health - Moorheilbad Harbach, cardiovascular centre Groß Gerungs, brewery hotel Weitra, guesthouse Kristall, guesthouse Nordwald and guesthouse "Waldpension Nebelstein" - are dedicated to realise this vision with all their efforts. The specialisation of the brewery hotel Weitra is naturally made up by beer, which is why beer and "beer meals" are featured in a proper section of the hotel's menu.

Our seminar centre features state-of-the-art equipment. Friendly interior and modern presentation techniques (flipchart, lectern, microphone, pin board, overhead projector, CD player, board, slide projector, TV-Video) ensure you have a successful seminar or event. The seminar centre is located on the first floor of the house. Apart from the three seminar rooms "Gerstenboden I", "Gerstenboden II" and "Malzboden" (including a view over the old town of Weitra) we offer a room for breaks, too. This allows you to focus on your work and still be comfortable.

An interesting exhibition in the palace museum will give you an insight into more than 800 years of history in Weitra and the rule of the Fürstenberger dynasty. The vast cellar vaults and the brewery museum host the permanent exhibition "Schauplatz Eiserner Vorhang" (an exhibition about the iron curtain who ran between Austria and the Czech Republic during the cold war). A walk up the castle tower, on the other hand, offers you a beautiful view over the country around Weitra, and far over the state border and into the province of Bohemia.
In summer, the "Schloss Weitra Festival" invites you for a visit.
