Tux lies high up in the mountains .. between the snow-capped mountains of the ski area Zillertal 3000. As the resort is situated up to 3250 m above sea level snow is guaranteed.
Enjoy the area's incredible variety: ski from the fantastic Eggalm to the sunny plateau Rastkogel, down the panoramic piste or take the Pendelbahn lift to the party zone Penken or back .. or the other way round ... or enjoy skiing on the pistes to Vorderlanersbach or Lanerbach which are serviced by snow-making facilities.
And the great highlight is the glacier Hintertuxer Gletscher - Austria's most attractive and only all-year ski area where powder snow is guaranteed from October until May.
The glacier offers 72,000 m of pistes and 15,000 m difference in altitude - it's an absolute must!
