Lake Hechtsee

Hechtsee Lake is located in the Bavarian foothills of the Alps near the German-Austrian border.

With a surface of 28 hectares, Hechtsee Lake is the biggest and deepest (max. depth of 57m) of the six lakes (Egelsee Lake, Längsee Lake, Maistaller Lacke Lake, Pfrillsee Lake, Stimmersee Lake and Thiersee Lake) west of Kufstein. Thanks to the water temperature beyond 20°C Hechtsee Lake is a popular recreational destination for the inhabitants of Kufstein. The lakeside beach offers a café, table tennis facilities, water volleyball, a playground, a diving board, a buffet, and a restaurant and boat rental. Fishing is also a popular activity at Hechtsee Lake thanks to the many different kinds of fish.
