Alvaneu Dorf - On the sunny side of the Landwasser Valley
Alvaneu is the ideal place of deaprture for experiencing the frequently changing Landwasser Valley. On the opposite side of the valley, in Alvaneu Bad, there is a sulphur spring, renowned since 1474, but no longer used comercially nowadays. Surrounding the neighboring village Schmitten, indicated by its name, about a dozen shut down ore mines can be found. The Home Museum informs about this and a lot more. Towards the South, our guests get a wonderful view of the Albula Valley and its scenery of mountains.
The famous winter sports resort Davos can be reached within a few minutes.
