Harzgerode with its town parts Alexisbad, Mägdesprung and Silberhütte is a small town with half-timbered houses. Famous is the town hall (1901), the castle (1552) and the St. Marienkirche church (1698).
The nature path, an excursion to the Brocken mountain by narrow-gauge railway, the indoor swimming pool, the outdoor swimming pool with fun pool and a stroll through the mixed forest are all highly recommended.
