Travellers from EU member states can import goods without duties and without border control formalities.

These goods, however, must not
• come from areas with special customs or tax status
• be destined for commercial use
• be subject to import or export embargoes

Alcopops (lemonades containing alcohol) - 10 liters

Passport controls: Citizens of the Schengen countries can cross the borders without controls. The Schengen visa allows 90 days of visits per six months in the entire Schengen area.

Visa: Citizens of EU member states do not require a visa to come to Germany. Citizens of non-EU member states do require a visa.

 

Recommended speed on German motorways is 130 km/h. In cities and towns the limit is 50 km/h and on national roads the limit is 100 km/h.

No alcohol allowed for drivers of trucks, cars and bikes.
