These two aspects of the local economy meet and mix together in the streets and squares of the village flanked by the old houses with the characteristic vaults, along the country roads into the wonderful green plain around the village and among the old alpine huts still utilized today.
In Caderzone this union between history and traditions occurs daily: the Palace of Marco di Caderzone and of the Counts Bertelli, the ancient lazaret in Santa Maria, the century-old Maso Curio bear witness to the past, rich in events which became legend. The past customs are still alive; they can be easily noticed in daily life and in the village fairs: the rites and ceremonies, the band and the folkloric dresses, today as in the past. Caderzone is one of the oldest villages in the Val Rendena. Walking in the historic centre you will notice interesting corners: the steep small streets paved with irregular cobbles, the squares with the characteristic stone fountains, the wide vaults on the ground floor of the houses, the granite portals, the wooden balconies full of flowers.
