After a visit in Trento, rich in historical and cultural traditions, enjoy Nordic or Alpine skiing in the snow of the Bondone.
The Valle dell´Adige valley tourists district comprises the Piana Rotaliana, Trento - the capital of the province - and mount Monte Bondone. The wide basin of the valley cultivated with orchards and vineyards together with the flanking mountains characterize the view. Being flat and thanks to the presence of the river the Valle dell´Adige valley has always been the natural communication route between north and south. Its geographic location granted Trento in the 16th century the privilege of hosting the religious council held to face the Lutheran menace. That event gave Trento a historic city center of high cultural, artistic and architectural interest, enriched by the presence of numerous museums and of Castello del Buonconsiglio castle. To the east of the city is mount Monte Bondone, a summer and winter tourist resort. On mount Monte Bondone, in Viote, you can find the Alpine Botanical Garden. To the north of Trento lies the Piana Rotaliana comprising the villages of Mezzolombardo, Mezzocorona and San Michele all´Adige where you can find the Museum for Uses and Customs of the Trentino People (Museo degli Usi e Costumi della Gente trentina). The zone is highly fertile and has been designated by experts as the "most beautiful grapevine garden in Europe". In fact, the cultivation of grapevines is of long-standing tradition here and the products are of the highest standard.
The traditional wine growing of the Rotaliana plain and the rich historical heritage of Trento. The M. Bondone nature reserve is also very interesting.
This area in the Valle dell´Adige comprises the town Trento, Monte Bondone and the Rotaliana plain and features a wide valley, surrounded by mountains. Due to its plains and the river, the Valle dell´Adige has always been a natural connecting route between north and south.
Because of its geographic location, Trento was chosen as the seat of the religious council coinciding with urban renovations and gave Castello del Buonconsiglio a historic center of great cultural, artistic and architectural interest. Later many museums were opened.
To the west of the town, Monte Bondone is a summer and winter tourist resort. The "mountain of the Trentino people" is the ideal place for all kinds of sports and activities in nature, such as the nature reserve "Tre Cime del Monte Bondone" and the Alpine Botanical Garden.
