The Antholzertal valley is a side valley of the green Pustertal valley
and branches off the left side of the national road 10 km after Bruneck. Thanks to the pleasant climate, the sunny location, the magnificent landscape and last but not least thanks to the spectacular mountains the valley is a popular and much frequented holiday destination and an ideal place for guests who are seeking rest and relaxation. At the entrance to the Antholzertal valley you can find the two picturesque villages of Niederrasen and Oberrasen set amid charming countryside, against the backdrop of dark green forests and the imposing rock faces of the wild and rugged mountains of the Rieserferner Massif with the towering peak of the Hochgall (3,445 m). The valley ends with a wonderful lake, the nicely located Antholzer Wildsee (Lake Antholz).
