An enchanting landscape enclosed by beautiful mountains.

The idyllic Casies Valley, a wonderful rural scenery, is situated between the Rieserferner spurs and the Defreggeralpen Chain. Three picturesque villages are immersed in this valley: Colle, S. Martino and S. Maddalena. You can reach them easily driving along a well-kept road that begins to the north of Monguelfo and continues for 18 km. A splendid alpine landscape, characterized by several well-marked paths, surprises all mountain lovers.

Monguelfo/Welsberg
In the town you will enjoy the traditional shops, style and athmosphere.

Monguelfo is proud of him - however, he honoured his native town: Paul Troger is considered one of the greatest Austrian Baroque painters. You can admire his masterpieces at the Raiffeisen Bank and in the Parish Church. Do not miss Castle Welsperg! Monguelfo offers also many events: the concerts by the citizen band, the classical music concerts at the Castle, the village feasts and several Tyrolese shows.

Tesido/Taisten
A sunny tableland surrounded by valleys and mountains.

Away from the traffic, on a low tableland at an altitude of 1212 mt., in a lovely village called Tesido, you can find the ideal place to spend your holidays. Silence, relax, and the opportunity of joining many walks across meadows and woods. The mountain lovers find uncontaminated landscapes, such as the Alpe di Tesido, the great Dolomites, where they can choose between easy and challenging hikes.
