The Schlern area, together with the Seiser Alm, form the highest mountain plateau in Europe. About 54 km² of colourful alpine meadows and forests with numerous picturesque alpine huts, set the tone for this fascinating country scenery. Near the mighty profile of the Schlern massif, the ´Rosszähne´ of the Lang- and Plattkofel ranges, right in the heart of the Dolomites. Approximately 25% of the South Tyrol territory is a nature reserve. Altogether, there are 8 natural parks, of which the Schlern is the oldest. The nature park offers visitors the ability to get a first-hand experience of untouched nature - and to love it.
