Valle Anzasca, the ancient valley of Antuanes, a tribe of the Leponzi, leads directly to the east wall of Monte Rosa, the widest and highest mountain face of the Alps. Like a huge cathedral of rock and ice, at 4638 m Monte Rosa is so grand and imposing as to be reminiscent of the Himlaya. The so-called " four sister" of Monte Rosa, Gnifetti, Zumstein, Dufour and Nordend, provide a breath-takin vista without equal in the Alps.
Here, there is perfect harmony between the villages and the mountains. The ethnic, cultural and architectural traditions of the Walser are integrated with an ideal experience for visiting tourists.
