While the northern side of our valley is among the areas with the least rain in the Eastern Alps, the southern part of Vinschgau gets lots of rain and snow to feeds the stunningly beautiful glaciers.

The contrast between the shadowy woods of the Nördersberg mountains and the desert-like flora of Vingscher Leiten makes for an interesting accumulation of different vegetation belts.

The fertile bottom of the valley impressively displays the diligence of the locals. Thanks to the hard-working people and the ideal climate our valley brings forth the word-famous Vinschgau apples.
