  • In the surroundings of lovely Laserzsee lake you find myriad via ferrata tours: Panorama via ferrata, Laserz via ferrata (challenging) and Wet Foot via ferrata close to the mountain lake – ideal terrain for beginners and young climbing fans.
  • Among the region's most difficult via ferrata routes ranks the Adrenalin via ferrata starting in the Galitzenklamm ravine. The nearby Dopamin via ferrata also requires a high level of fitness and experience while a more leisurely tour – also suitable for families – leads across Galitzenklamm, too.
  • Dolomitenhütte climbing garden offers routes up to difficulty grade 10. Beginners get together in the Rabantkofel climbing area.
  • Avid sports climbers choose the routes at Roter Turm and the southern or south-western walls in the surrounding Laserz massif.

Unlimited winter fun for snow sport aficionados

Lovely winter holidays in the charming Lienz Dolomites are synonymous with superb alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, snowshoe hiking, winter walking and ski mountaineering. The region boasts some 100 kilometers of nordic tracks, among them the Dolomiten nordic track in the beautiful surroundings of Lienz, attracting cross-country skiers from around the world. Every year in January, the traditional "Dolomitenlauf" cross-country skiing race is held at the heart of the heart of the Lienz Dolomites.

The charming ski areas of Zettersfeld and Hochstein operated by the Bergbahnen Lienz mountain lifts, offer 40 slope kilometers, a snow park and a ski-cross run for daredevils of all ages. Expert skiers can improve their skills on the unique Ski World Cup race track – followed by a hearty snack served on one of the sun-flooded mountain huts and terraces equipped with sun loungers.
