Holidays Schladming-Rohrmoos

Welcome to the sports resort of Schladming

Skiing in Schladming-Rohrmoos, at the heart of Upper Styria and the Schladming – Dachstein area. The sports resort of Schladming was to play host to the 2013 Alpine World Ski Championships. With its charming alleys the lively little town is the cultural and social center in the area, and the perfect place to spend the evening and night after an active day out skiing or hiking. Rohrmoos, on the other hand, offers holidays at a more leisurely pace. The picturesque mountain village is in a hillside location above Schladming, at an altitude of 1,000 meters, and comes with innumerable options for walking, hiking, and cross-country skiing.

Schladming – a walker’s paradise

When the last remaining patches of snow have melted, it is summer time in the Schladming Dachstein area! The varied mountainscape enclosing the wide valley combines with innumerable must-sees to create an unparalleled offering for an active and memorable summer vacation. One of the highlights not to be missed is the ‘Wilde Wasser Weg’, the world’s first National Geographic hiking trail. With an overall length of 14.5 kilometers it winds its way through the Talbachklamm gorge towards Rohrmoos, past murmuring brooks and thundering waterfalls, and on to the wild and romantic Untertal Valley and the highest peaks in the Schladminger Tauern mountain range.
