In the winter months, the St. Johann mountain lifts whisk skiers and riders up to 1604 meters above sea level, where a great choice of ski trails and top-to-bottom runs are available – plus uninterrupted panoramic views of the Baroque village center and the snow-covered Wilder Kaiser mountain range. Thanks to many easy to intermediate pistes the St. Johann ski area is perfectly suitable for families and children. Action-packed moments await off-piste skiers also at the snow park. Night skiing on the floodlit ski slopes also ranks among the undisputed highlights.
Nordic skiing fans can choose from a huge cross-country skiing network and cleared winter walking trails leading to the region's most secluded spots. A perfect way to explore Tirol's authentic nature landscapes! Fun-filled toboggan adventures on the 2 km long natural track or romantic horse carriage rides promise loads of unforgettable moments. And after an exciting day in the snow, rest and relaxation are on the program: visit the Panorama Badewelt swimming center with sauna and wellness parlor.

St. Johann in Tirol is situated in the heart of the Kitzbüheler Alpen between Kitzbüheler Horn and Wilder Kaiser! In the summer, St. Johann in Tirol primarily scores points with its excellent infrastructure which further upgrades and supports this top regional location for cyclists, mountain bikers and walkers. The ‘Panorama Badewelt’ attracts visitors with a particularly pleasant array of bathing facilities that include a large sauna and wellness area as well as indoor and outdoor tennis courts. The double toboggan run of the St. Johanner inclines provide fun and entertainment and is a popular meeting place for young and old. At their own expense, more adventurous visitors take part in ballooning, tandem paragliding and sports flying. The most beautiful towns and villages of the region are connected together by an extensive network of walking, cycling and mountain bike tracks that take in many attractive destinations.

In the winter, with 17 cable cars and ski lifts on the snowy side of the Kitzbueheler Horn, the St. Johanner inclines boast around 60 piste skiing kilometres that cater for all difficulty levels. With excellently maintained cross country skiing tracks (St. Johann in Tirol is the starting point and final destination of the largest cross country skiing race in Austria), winter walking tracks, a toboggan run, an ice skating rink and numerous other amenities, St. Johann in Tirol is a popular venue for winter sports enthusiasts as well as for lovers of nature.

In the winter St. Johann offers 17 modern ski lifts and 60 kilometers of immaculate slopes on the more protected, snowy northern side of the Kitzbüheler Horn.
