Holidays Warth am Arlberg

Europe’s most snowy ski resort

The romantic farmers village of Warth is located on 1,500 meters above sea level amid the large Warth-Schröcken skiing area. Due to its geographical location, embedded in the impressive Lechtaler Alps, the Bregenzerwald region and Arlberg, the village with 200 inhabitants is covered with a thick layer of snow every year. Approx. 11 meters of snow fall on average every season – this means skiing pleasures until spring.

When the last snow melts on the pasture and summer is just about to start, this region is a true eldorado for active holiday makers and nature lovers. The magnificent mountains offer diverse tour options and the highest located village in Vorarlberg also attracts many tourists suffering from allergies as the air is nearly pollen-free.

Snow guarantee at Arlberg

Majestic mountains rise into the sky, pasture huts are covered with snow and you can spot traces of snowshoe hikers – this is the idyllic winter season in the Warth-Schröcken skiing area. Furthermore, it boasts modern lifts and more than 68 km of perfectly groomed slopes – most of them take you directly to the first-class accommodations in the village. Thanks to the Auenfeld jet, the skiing area is connected with Lech Zürs and winter sports fans can enjoy unlimited winter pleasures on more than 300 km of slopes. Free riders and telemark skiers have plenty of possibilities to ski down in powder snow and enjoy absolute freedom.

On sunny days you can best enjoy the fascinating winter landscape on long walks or on one of the cross-country skiing tracks through the Hochtannberg area. Tobogganing fun is guaranteed at the “Von der Höhi” tobogganing track in the village – young and old will love it. Finish off an adventurous day out amid snow at one of the many après ski bars.
