Nature and Culture Days in Bludenz

Scenic Bludenz is located at 570 meters above sea level, where five Alpine valleys meet - Walgau, Brandnertal, Montafon, Klostertal and Großes Walsertal. Therefore it makes a perfect base for nature exploration in the picture-book surroundings in summer and winter alike. A real holiday heaven for sport aficionados, pleasure-seeking holiday makers and families with children. You can choose from endless hiking paths and mountain bike trails in summer, and immaculate ski slopes and powder runs in winter. Culture fans are recommended to visit the charming old town of Bludenz with its romantic arcades and nice shops. Beer lovers explore the local Fohrenburg brewery. Other highlights not to be missed are St. Laurentius church and the town's castle.

Snow sports in Top Ski Areas

Bludenz makes a wonderful winter holiday destination as varied ski areas can be found in the immediate surroundings. The Brandnertal family-ski area focuses on top quality. What's more, a ride in the mountain gondola ensures spectacular views of the Rätikon massif. The Sonnenkopf ski area in Klostertal valley is proud of the "Bäraloch" ski run, one of Austria's steepest downhill tracks (70 % gradient), and the almost endless "Vermalen" top-to-bottom ski slope featuring 1300 meters of difference in altitude on 11 kilometers. Splendid back-country skiing and powder snow slopes included!
Nordic skiers choose from incredible 70 kilometers of well-groomed tracks for all ability levels. Explore marvelous landscapes far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life – a unique way to restore your energies. Among the undisputed highlights ranks the 15 kilometer long panorama Nordic loop track on the scenic Tschengla/Bürserberg Alpine plateau, offering great views of five valleys.
