Nordic Walking Imst Region

  • The marvelous Inntal and Gurgltal valleys offer an incredible 130 km network of running and nordic walking trails down on the valley floor or in the higher Alpine regions surrounding Imst. Choose from speed run tracks, leisurely short circuits or long-distance routes.
  • Less experienced runners and nordic walkers should head towards the Nuireith Fit Trail (2.2 km) in Hoch-Imst, combined with physical exercise or a challenging speed run.
  • A quite demanding route is the Starkenberg Run leading past the mighty Schloss Starkenberg castle and beer brewery, and an idyllic little mountain lake embedded in the forest.
  • Marathon fans can try the Gurgltal Half-marathon in the foothills of the Tschirgant mountain massif and its breathtaking Alpine landscapes.
