Snow-covered mountains are among the most important prerequisites for a successful winter holiday. This is guaranteed in the Grossglockner-Heiligenblut skiing area due to the slopes being located between 1300m and 3000m above sea level. Snowboarders and skiers can take advantage of perfectly snow-covered slopes for different ability levels. There is also a separate area for the little ones where they will have a lot of fun on their skis. It is also a true paradise for freestylers, who have about 25km² at their disposal - work on your tricks in the Freeride Arena.

No matter if you prefer skiing, snowboarding or cross-country skiing, all types of sports have one thing in common: they will make you hungry! Therefore, numerous cozy huts await you with traditional delights from Carinthia.

The heart of each winter athlete will beat a note higher with our short waiting times, absolute snow guarantee, due to an elevation of 1.300 m up to 2.900 m, and 55 km varied downhill runs! For snow fun outside of downhill slopes, well prepared cross country tracks are available (10 km), sledding- and ice skating possibilities, ice climbing on the frozen waterfall, horse carriage rides, snow rafting, ski tours and winter hiking trails, which round off the comprehensive winter sport program.
