For more than 125 years now the world's oldest steam cog railway has been running between Jenbach and Lake Achensee.

Enjoy the 7 km ride (45 min) to the landing stage in Seespitz - and take in the scenic landscape as you pass by.

Take a step back in time...
Train whistles and steam escaping from the valves ... Experience railway nostalgia at its finest! The old cog railway is still one of the most fascinating highlights in the Achensee region. Do not miss out on the highly romantic experience of a ride to Lake Achensee.

It's just like in the old days... Each of the carriages can only be entered from outside, and the conductor warmly welcomes passengers and checks their tickets.
