Mountain Church - Grisons

Perfect Idyll

Perfect Idyll

The Mountain Church functions as a chapel for burials and weddings. Located on a broad meadow that contrasts vividly with the 'Hochwang' mountain range, it is a sight to behold from afar. This picturesque structure, situated in the middle of the church yard, was built in 1492-93 and consecrated to Saint Jodocus and Saint Barbara. The two bells in the tower date from its construction and are inscribed with the year 1492. After the Reformation, the Mountain Church was taken over by Protestants.
