Gardone is one of the sunniest and most popular destinations at Lake Garda.

Gardone's most famous son is Gabriele D'Annunzio, who lived here after WWII. The lush vegetation and the marvelous panoramic views of the coast, littered with elegant villas, Hotels, botanic gardens, and historic cafés. Gardone is one of the most important towns at Lake Garda, well-known for the bizarre flat of Gabriele D'Annunzio called "Il Vittoriale degli Italiani", the botanic garden "Heller", Parco Rimbalzello with its private beach, the new Jesus Christ Museum, and the lakeside promenade. It is also the perfect base for bicycle excursions, sailing and wind surfing, sunbathing and lakeside walks. Nowhere is the lakeside just as fascinating: the beautiful sandy beach of Casinò, the sunbathing benches, and Fasano Beach with its green fields and its stairs leading down into the lake.
