Moderner Urlaub in einem der ältesten Gebäude des mittelalterlichen Pisciotta: Der Name des B&B Ecclesia geht auf den Ursprung des Gebäudes zurück, in dem sich seine 3 geschmackvoll eingerichteten Gästezimmer befinden. Es handelt sich um die erste Kirche des Ortes aus dem 12. Jahrhundert.

Modern and up-to-date – holidays in one of medieval Pisciotta’s oldest buildings: The name of B&B Ecclesia is based on the origin of the building its 3 tastefully furnished guest rooms are located in. It was the first church in the village and dates back to the 12th century.
Heute erinnert insbesondere der Aufenthaltsraum des B&B an die frühere Nutzung als Gotteshaus. So blieb ein Teil des typischen Spitzbogenfensters des Kirchenschiffs erhalten, das einen spektakulären Blick auf die Dächer des Ortes und auf das Meer preisgibt.

Entstanden sind die Gästezimmer im Laufe der Jahre 2024 und 2025, als das gesamte obere Stockwerk des Gebäudes umfassend restauriert wurde. Sie befinden sich direkt oberhalb der Ferienwohnung Casa Marida, besitzen jedoch einen separaten Eingang.

Als wir das B&B erstmals betraten, konnten wir nicht entscheiden, was mehr Faszination auf uns ausübte: Der schier unfassbare Meerblick - Capo Palinuro inklusive, der antike Ofen im Aufenthaltsraum - früher wurde stets im obersten Stockwerk gebacken - oder die teils antiken Möbel und gigantischen Olivenöl-Fässer aus Terrakotta.

Hinweis zum Frühstück:
Es wird ein italienisches Frühstück in einer Bar des Ortes angeboten (Cappuccino, Croissant, Orangensaft). Das Angebot ist nicht obligatorisch, sondern kann auf Wunsch extra hinzugebucht werden.

Today, it is mainly the B&B’s lounge room that reminds you of the building being a former church. Part of the nave’s typical pointed arch window has been preserved and offers a spectacular view of the village’s rooftops and the sea.

The three guest rooms were designed and realized in 2024 and 2025, when the entire upper floor of the building was completely and thoroughly renovated. They are located on the floor above holiday apartment Casa Marida, but are accessed via a separate entrance.

Room DUE: beautiful, ca. 15 m² double room; sea view balcony and sea view window; seating area with cushions under the window; bathroom with a small window above the shower for better ventilation; air conditioning, hair dryer, writing table, WiFi access, TV.

Room TRE: cozy, ca. 15 m² double room; roofed and furnished balcony (view of green); sea view window; seating area with cushions under the window; en suite bathroom with shower; large wardrobe, air conditioning, hair dryer, writing table, WiFi access, TV.

Room UNO: ca. 20 m² room, also suitable as a family room; double bed and sofa bed for two; small balcony with a view of olive trees and a small 'piece' of the sea; en suite bathroom with shower; air conditioning, writing table, WiFi access, TV, hair dryer.

When we visited the B&B for the first time, we were at a loss to decide what fascinated us most: the unbelievable sea view – including Capo Palinuro, the old oven in the lounge - in former times, baking was always done on the top floor, or the partly antique furniture and gigantic terracotta olive oil barrels.

Parking: The accommodation cannot (!) be reached by car. Public parking can be found outside the historic village center.

Note concerning breakfast:
Breakfast offer: Italian-type breakfast (cappuccino, croissant, orange juice) at a local bar. The offer does not have to be made use of, but you can add it to your booking if you want to.
